I am super excited about a recent project that Nickolay Lamm is finally bringing to life! You'll remember our previous article about Lamm here. For those who haven't read about it yet, Lamm is a graphic designer who created a 3D model of an Average barbie with realistic proportions. Lamm is now aiming to actually produce a doll called "Lammily" who will be based on his design!
Lammily, according to the creator's website, promotes realistic beauty standards; she has articulated wrists, knees, elbows, and feet, is fit and strong, wears minimal makeup...and is ready to be created! The creator needs help with funding the initial stages of this project and you can donate to his website campaign here. He has already met and exceeded his fundraising goals but I think the more money we can sink into positive resources for teaching positive body image, the better we will be able to compete against products that do the exact opposite. You can even pre-order your Lamilly doll today!
