Recently, Jeffries announced that they would no longer carry clothes above a size 10! Ellen definitely had something to say about this on one of her recent shows..."You know what I say to that? Oh Fitch, please! Since when is anything above a size 10 considered plus-size?" So women aren't allowed to buy their clothing if they are bigger than a size large? A size large, I might add, that looks more like a small from other clothing retailers. The company does carry size XL and XXL for men, however, but their defense for this is that they want to appeal to large athletes. Are there no XL and XXL sized female athletes? Oh I think so!
Not that I have ever been a fan of this clothing company, but I will never purchase anything from them. I hope that all you other shoppers agree to the same! This company needs to take a page from the Dove Campaign and realize how they can actually improve their sales by including more people instead of limiting them to a select group of people. Somebody please tell me why this company hasn't fired all the people that have been a part of this marketing plan?? This obviously means that these ideas are deeply embedded in the company's values and ethics. So digusted.
Ellen concludes with a message to all her young viewers..."What you look like on the outside does not make you cool at all." Go Ellen! Being cool and admirable has nothing to do with the size you are or the way you look...it has everything to do with the person you are and want to be in this world.
