At times, I've felt worried that this project will never be completed and that it will never land in the hands of the young girls and women who need it so much. I don't know how some ladies do it all...raise great children, have quality family time, work multiple jobs and continue to give what is left of yourself to meaningful causes! I think I have figured out the secret though! It's a helpful community. Whenever I have felt discouraged, it's young women (and men) who encourage me to keep going, to keep working at making this project a reality.
Today, I am very thankful that we have recently been able to add an intern to our team! You might recognize her face because she was one of the first young women I ever photographed. It is her image that helped me define the project and be inspired to move forward with a clear vision. This is a girl that I have had the pleasure of knowing since...well...since she was born! Welcome to the team Jessica!
Jessica has been assisting with behind the scenes photographs, writing and assisting at Average Girl sessions! Stay tuned for some great blog posts by this lovely lady.
