I love this quote:
“In Hollywood, I’m obese. I’m considered a fat actress. I’m never going to starve myself for a part. I keep waiting for that one role to come along that scares me enough into dieting, and it just can’t happen. I’m invincible. I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner.’ That’s something that I was really conscious of during training. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong, not thin and underfed.”
I know that sometimes words can be taken out of context but the next quote I want to share is one that made me a little sad to hear. I think she was probably joking around like her usual self but so many young girls are looking up to her that I had to share my thoughts about the following:

The first thought that popped into my head is why does she love photoshop if she's such an advocate against looking the way the media/society wants her to look!? My second thought was that Jennifer Lawrence probably experiences many of the social pressures to be thin and beautiful, just like any of us! In fact, she may experience this at a much higher rate due to the fact that her job is in the media! I guess we can't blame an actress for being herself but I do think it's a shame that she alludes to the fact that photoshop is so great because it makes her look different. I do, however, have to point out that I really like the fact that she says that Photoshop makes people look fake. "People don't look like that!"
The fascination with Jennifer Lawrence is that she is more REAL and shares more of her REAL self than many other actresses out there. Girls are so desperately looking for someone to break the barriers and ideals that the media has so cleverly put into place. I must say that for someone in the spotlight, she handles herself well and is a much better "media" role model than some of her acting peers. Go J. Law!
